Frequently asked questions
Is Delphos an ethical AI solution?
Delphos soundworlds are generators that are trained and controlled by their copyright owners exclusively. Soundworld owners are paid for every transaction involving their soundworld and are able to control how the soundworld is used. If the soundworld is shared with other consumers, this is done solely at the direction of the soundworld owner and is retractable at any time. Delphos Music takes a very strong position regarding copyright ownership and supporting musicians.
How do Delphos credits work?
Each transaction via Delphos is counted in credits. Generating a loop may cost 1 credit, generating a stem pack will cost several credits. The credit system also allows soundworld creators to set their own pricing on their soundworlds when sharing them with other users across the Delphos network.
Does Delphos only do instrumentals or can it do voices?
We only support instrumental music for the time being. This is because there are increased legal complexities with reproducing human voices and likeness. In order to protect our clients and users, we currently do not support vocal synthesis.
Who owns the copyright on the compositions generated with Delphos?
If you own the rights to the music you use to train your soundworld, then you own the output compositions.
What are the differences between the Delphos Musician, Label, and Platform plans?
Musician tier - use Copilot to generate loops and track from our internal soundworlds as well as community-made and branded soundworlds. There is no licensing fee, you just pay for what you use. Record label tier - the ability to train your own soundworld and make use of advanced functionalities within Copilot such as batch mode generation. Platform tier - everything in Record Label tier plus access to the Delphos API. Fully automated workflows bringing generative music directly to your website, app or tech stack.
