As LLMs are non-deterministic, it's not possible to control the exact number of pages. You can prompt e.g. how the document should be structured and which sections it should have, that way you can better control the total document length. You can also manually edit the document via Overleaf or any other LaTeX editor.

You might want to test yourself if the document you created is AI detectable. A secure way to bypass any AI detection is to translate a text manually to another language, e.g. If you want to create a document in English you would tell ThesisAI to write it in another language and you translate it yourself to English. This is not a recommendation to bypass any academic writing standards.

In few cases there might be a syntax issue in the LaTeX or BibTex file which will result in a broken PDF. In this case, please export the document to Overleaf and compile the PDF there, Overleaf can often also compile documents with smaller syntax issues. If Overleaf can also not compile the document, please reach out to us and we will provide support.

Paper level citation will just cite the paper source, independent from which page the citation was taken from. This is the most common way in science to cite a source. Page level citation will instead cite the exact page of a paper, this means there will be more citations in the document and for each page that is cited a separate BibTex entry is added. Page level citation can be helpful in case you want to use ThesisAI for doing a literature review.

You can select among Alphabetic, Numeric, APA, IEEE, Harvard, Oxford, Chicago Notes, Chicago Author-Date. For any other style you can simply edit the LaTeX in Overleaf to get your required style.

In very few cases the bibliography section is missing and citations are e.g. [379661], which is due to a syntax issue in the BibTex file. This can easily be fixed by exporting the document to Overleaf and compiling it there, Overleaf will show you then the issue in the BibTex file that needs to be fixed manually. If you have a subscription, you would see a button "Manage Subscription" at the Account page where you can cancel the subscription. Cancelation will stop any recurring payments immediately. If you have pay-as-you-go credits you dont need to cancle anything.
